Private Surf Lessons

Northwest Women\'s Surf Camps offers Private & Group Surf Instruction

 New for 2010, Selected Summer Saturday\'s Group Lessons 

We will also offer our Private Surf Lessons throughout the spring, summer and fall.  Book ahead if possible, to assure your space in a private and/or group lesson.  Contact NWWSC Director at #(503) 440 5782 or email her at surfcamps@freedomnw.com.    

See below dates for Group Lessons to join.  Time and location to be announced morning of or night before, if necessary.  Advanced beginner swimming skills are required.  A signed Liability Release Waiver and Registration Form must be provided prior to start of lesson.  Click here for them-        Wetsuit and surf equipment not provided in lesson.  Cleanline Surf Shops can set you up with all your day\'s rental equipment needs.  $35/day for adult rental package.  $25/day for children\'s rental package.  Their phone #\'s are (503) 738 7888 Seaside and (503) 440 9726 Cannon Beach.

Winter lessons (October to April) can sometimes be arranged, but we\'ll need to discuss days of the week you\'re available and match with conditions.  Contact Director with your inquiries anytime of the year.  "We will always try and make it happen for you!"   

What sets us apart from the rest?   

  • All of our instructors are highly qualified with current certification in CPR, first aid & lifeguarding.
  • We provide mature experienced surfers as instructors.
  • Gath helmets are provided.
  • All carry a first aid kit and rescue tube in case needed.
  • We use proven NWWSC teaching methods.
  • Our teacher to student ratio is 4:1 or less, depending on the lesson. If more than 4 students sign up for a private lesson, then an additional instructor will also teach.
  • NWWSC rental partner, Cleanline Surf Co. , provides us our wetsuit equipment.
  • We offer surf instruction for all ages of women, girls, men and boys.
  • Advanced beginner to intermediate swimming skills are required
  • A liability release waiver and registration form are required by all students. Parents must sign for all minors.

We don\'t just push you into waves to claim that you surfed...we empower you with the knowledge necessary to truely pursue your passion to surf!
