Day Surf Camps
Eleven Day Surf Camps are "Open to the Public" in 2008. They will run during the months of June, July, August (Beginner to Advanced Beginner Level) and September (Advanced Beginner to Intermediate Level). Camp size is limited to 12. A minimum of 8 is needed to hold camp. Advanced beginner swimming skills and a "love of water" are essential.
For the 2008 season, we will not be offering Day Surf Camps in March, April or May. Over the past four seasons, Mother Nature hasn't cooperated with our plans to offer Day Surf Camp events. Either the swell was huge and unsafe to teach in &/or the weather was wild , wet and windy. Instead we are offering additional Day Camps as well as New camp formats this season to make up for the spring. And if you missed last season's Women's "Surfing Immersion" Week Surf Retreat, we are extremely excited to offer two for 2008! One 5 Day / 4 Night Surf Retreat in July and a 6 Day / 5 Night Surf Retreat in August.
NW Women's Surf Camps will offer Private & Group Surf Lessons during these months- March, April and May, when the conditions are favorable to teach. Spring on the North Oregon Coast is usually like an extended winter, with the exception of some years, where Spring can begin early with milder weather and swell conditions. Scheduling lessons during this window of the year requires flexibility on the students' part. Email or call to schedule your individual or group lesson for this time of the year. Women and men are offered our lesson format.
[Costs of Day Camps]
PRE-REGISTER NOW for only $199. We need to receive registration and payment at least 2 weeks (14 days) prior to your chosen camp date(s). Save an additional $20 PER CAMP by booking 2 separate Day Camps in advance (consecutively or for use throughout the season) in advance for a total of $179. You will pay $225 per camp if registration and payment are received less than two weeks prior.
Our Day Camp includes transportation to and from the beach, originating in Seaside, OR, all equipment (surfboard, wetsuit, boots, gloves, hood and helmet), nutritious catered lunch, beverages, morning Beach Yoga session, water-board-beach safety instruction, in-depth surf instruction both on land and two sessions in the water with coaches, a NWWSC tee shirt and our Camp Partners bag of gifts and info!
Weekend Surf Camps
Additional Weekend Surf Camp options added for 2008! These will happen one weekend each month during our season. By adding a second day of surfing, students have an opportunity to build on their newly learned skills and create a deeper bond with participants! You'll experience 2 full days of our surf camps and overnight lodging at the Seaside International Hostel; one of our local NWWSC Partnerings. This hostel was voted as one of the Top 10 Best Hostels in America!
[Costs of the Weekend Surf Camp]
PRE-REGISTER NOW for a price of $358 + price of your Hostel Lodging chosen. We need to receive registration and payment at least 2 weeks (14 days) prior to your chosen dates. You will pay $450. + lodging, if registration and payment are received less than 2 weeks prior. Your confirmation of camp dates will be emailed to you once registered with Active.com or upon receipt of your registration form and payment to the Camp Director.

[Day Camp and Weekend Registration/Payment Options]
- Register and pay with Active.com online registration by clicking on your chosen Weekender date above. You will sign a NWWSC Liability Release Waiver from that site. Click on your chosen Hostel lodging preference from here. Active.com will email you your Weekender confirmation.
- You may also register and pay by submitting our Surf Camp Registration Form from our website (if needed, you can print out and send with your payment). You will need to print off a NWWSC Liability Release Waiver, read, sign and bring to the Weekender event. Your payment can be made by sending a check or money order to: NWWSC, PO Box 425, Seaside, OR 97138 for the total cost of your Weekender event. Remember to include the cost of your chosen Hostel lodging to this.
[Weekend Lodging Information]
Accommodations for overnight lodging are provided by Seaside International Hostel in Seaside, Oregon. “This hostel was Voted One of the Top Ten in North America by Hostelling International. - Private Room with double or queen bed, set of bunk beds and private bath, linen provided. Summer rates (first two people) is $65 per night for non-members of Hostelling International (9% Room Tax is included). Note: Private Room can sleep up to 5 guests. Rollaway bed can be added. Additional charge for added guests.
- Women's Only Dorm Room with bunk beds, shared bathroom and rental sheet included. Summer rate is $27.50 per night for non-members Hostelling International (9% Room Tax is included).
Transportation to and from the Hostel to the beach location is included.
Additional Essentials to Pack for Weekender:
- Your favorite breakfast supplies
- A sleeping bag and/or blankets
- Bath towel and bathing personals
The Hostel has an Espresso Bar and a full kitchen for your use.
